Tampa bridal shop gives free dresses to military brides

It was a day dedicated to finding "the one" for 35 military brides who went free dress hunting on Veterans Day.

Alfred Angelo, a bridal boutique in Tampa, treated dozens of service women to the dresses of their dreams on Wednesday.

"They serve us every single day, and what a small thing for us to give back," manager Barbara Kane said.

Shoppers had 130 new gowns to choose from. All of the dresses had the tags still attached, ranging from $500 to $2,000.

"I'm in tears. I'm in tears. This is something that every little girl wants, every woman wants, is a dream wedding. To wear the white dress, to walk down the aisle. This is something really special," veteran Ramie Walker said.

This is the first year Alfred Angelo has done "Operation Giveaway." More than 60 stores are participating to give away a total of 6,000 wedding gowns.
