Tampa girl injured after walking into traffic
TAMPA (FOX 13) - The little girl who was hit by a car Saturday evening remains hospitalized, police say.
According to TPD, 4-year-old Jenna Wooten left her West Paul Avenue home and wandered out into traffic along West Shore Boulevard, where she was hit by a pickup truck.
Jenna was taken to Tampa General Hospital, where she was still in critical but stable condition as of Monday, according to police. The driver of the truck will not be charged.
Investigators say the girl’s parents were out running an errand and she was in the care of an 11-year-old relative at the time of the accident.
