Tampa police investigating fatal hit-and-run

- A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run accident Sunday evening, according to Tampa police, and officials are asking for the public's help in located the suspect vehicle and driver.

Investigators say the accident happened just around 9:15 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Nebraska and Linebaugh avenues. The pedestrian was a female adult. No other information has been released by police about the victim. 

Police said the suspected vehicle is described as white, possibly an SUV. It was last seen traveling north on Nebraska Avenue from Linebaugh Avenue.

Police say there is no indication that speed or racing were factors in the crash. No other information was provided.
