Almost 100 people joined a foot search Friday for a 17-year-old who went missing four days earlier from her New Tampa neighborhood.

Hailey Acierno was last seen Tuesday in New Tampa. She is considered endangered by Tampa police.

Her family - growing increasingly concerned for her safety - asked the Arbor Green Subdivision HOA to help organize a search party to comb the area.

Dozens of people began a grid search of the roughly 100-acres of Flatwoods Park, looking for any sign of Hailey.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has searched some of the area, as well.

Hailey’s parents told the HOA president who organized the search that she was known to spend time taking photographs in the woods, so they wanted to be sure she hadn’t become lost or trapped somewhere.

“We have an absolutely outstanding turnout of very concerned residents and local community members here and we’re just very humbled by this,” Arbor Greene Neighborhood HOA President Paul Boucher said.

Hailey's family says she's in need of medication. Anyone who may know where she is or may have gone is asked to call 813-231-6130.
