Tampa police search for skimmer suspect

- Tampa police are searching for a skimmer suspect.

On September 1, two skimmers were found on both ATMs located at the SunTrust Bank at 1701 East 7th Avenue, police said. The agency released photos of who they believe installed the devices.

They said the male suspect wore a dark-colored floppy hat and a dark T-shirt. The agency asks anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay Inc. at 1-800-873-8477 or visit www.crimstopperstb.com.

Police advise anyone using an ATM to always check your balances and transaction history. If you note a discrepancy, contact your bank as soon as you can.
