TAMPA (FOX 13) - This weeks’ Singapore summit attracted the eyes of the world but many - especially the folks on social media - just can’t get enough of the clash of the hairstyles between President Donald Trump and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.
It was the handshake heard round the world; President Trump and Kim Jong Un meeting face-to-face for the very first time.
Two of the world’s most talked about men - and talked about hairdos - going head-to-head.
Once bitter rivals, the two leaders appear to be warming up to each other. Opposite in many ways, they both share a clear love for the comb.
President Trump has commented on rumors his hair isn’t real.
“I try like hell to hide the bald spot, folks. I work hard at it, Doesn’t look bad,” he told the crowd at CPAC in February.
And at the Inaugural Concert he said, “The truth is, if it really pours, that’s OK because people will realize it’s my real hair, and that’s OK.”
Standing side by side, it’s easy to see Trump and Kim are both a bit over the top - on top.
“Individually, I see uniqueness but I also see straight blindness,” Tampa’s RockerStylist, David Hensley said.
We had him break down the mane on both men.
Starting with Kim Jong Un:
“I see a door wedge,” Hensley said. “I would let it get fuller, take down the corners and grow a beard. He may not be able to grow a beard… It would make him a little more appealing to the naked eye.”
What about President Trump - king of the quiff?
“I see a lot of unnecessary volume [and] I see color that doesn't match,” Hensley said.
He suggests the Commander in Chief “square it up, shape it up, get a little texture.”
“I think his approval rating may go up if he got a new haircut,” Hensley said. “If they can tame the nukes down, they can tame their hair down, I have faith.”
The RockerStylist has one takeaway for the world’s most powerful: “Hair really is everything.”
