Teen finds body in St. Petersburg parking lot

ST. PETERSBURG (FOX 13) - A teenager found a body while walking to a bus stop, on his way to school in Pinellas County Thursday morning. 

St. Petersburg police said the teen came across the body of 32-year-old Shermaun Akins in the parking lot of Alta Mar at Broadwater apartments on 34th Terrace S. 

Officers said Akins lived at the complex. He died from upper body trauma. Police said they thought his death to be a case of homicide.
