Thief injures 81-year-old woman to escape store security

An 82-year-old woman is recovering Sunday night from a broken hip, Pasco deputies say a shoplifter ran into her while trying to get away from security at a Target near Trinity. Deputies say 26-year-old Cameron Conca turned himself in Sunday, after investigators put his picture on social media.

The victim's family said the woman needed surgery for a partial hip replacement after the incident. Conca stole several hundred dollars worth of items from the Pasco County store located near New Port Richey. On his way out of Target deputies say Conca ran from security and slammed into the victim, Therese Turcotte, knocking her down to the ground. Conca is in custody at the Pasco County jail, charges have not yet been announced.
