Thieves steal semi-truck full of Sears merchandise

Polk deputies shared this photo of a truck and trailer similar to the one that was stolen.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office is looking for a set of bold thieves.

Deputies say they stole a Cascadia Freightliner hauling a light blue Wabash trailer.  Inside was $92,000 worth of Sears merchandise.

The big rig was parked behind a restaurant near the Davenport exit of Interstate 4 when people reported seeing three men "working on" it, then they were later seen driving it towards the interstate.

The three suspects are described as:

  • A Hispanic male in his 30's, tall with a thin build, wearing a red and black jacket, black shorts, and a black hat with red letters
  • A Hispanic male in his 50's or 60's, thin, clean-shaven and bald, 5'6" - 5'7" tall, wearing a blue t-shirt and blue jeans
  • A Hispanic male, heavyset, 265 -280 lbs, 5'7" - 5'8" tall, wearing a light blue t-shirt and blue jeans

The tag on the truck is w12628 (NE); the tag on the trailer is 220171 (NE). "Werner Enterprises" is written on both doors of the truck and both sides of the trailer.

If you have any information about where this rig could be, please call Polk County Sheriff's Office.
