Three Winter Haven officers relocate 5-foot gator

- It took three Winter Haven police officers to wrangle a gator, the size of an adult human.

The Winter Haven Police Department posted photos of the showdown between the 5-foot alligator and their officers in a neighborhood on Mandolin Boulevard.

One officer used a blue towel to cover the gator’s eyes, while another lassoed the reptile. The third officer was on “catch pole duty.”

Police said they relocated the alligator to a nearby pond.
