Tips needed in fatal Lake Wales hit-and-run

- The Polk County Sheriff's Office wants the public's help to identify a suspect in a fatal hit-and-run crash Tuesday morning.

PCSO says a truck hit and killed a 56-year-old man riding a three-wheeled bicycle on Masterpiece Road, just east of Longhorn Drive in Lake Wales.

Leonard Wimberly Jr. of Haines City died in the crash and the truck fled the scene.

Deputies say pieces of a side mirror were left at the scene. They believe the truck is a 1998-2009 Dodge 2500 or 3500 pickup.

The suspect truck appeared to have fled west on Masterpiece Road towards Scenic Hwy.
