Troopers search for truck that hit, killed 19-year-old

- The Florida Highway Patrol is searching for the driver responsible for hitting a 19-year-old in Pasco County Friday evening.

The incident happened around 9 p.m. in the area of Bolton Avenue and Omaha Street.

According to FHP, a gray Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling westbound on Bolton Avenue when it hit 19-year-old Tyler Sheeks, who was walking westbound.

Sheeks was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Troopers said the driver of the truck did not stop and fled the scene. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact the Florida Highway Patrol at 813-631-4020.
