Polk County firefighters battled a two-alarm fire in Mulberry Sunday morning.

The fire broke out at an abandoned vehicle repair shop located at 3845 State Road 60.

Officials said that chemicals inside the building caused explosions while crews were on scene. Fortunately, no one was injured.

Initially, officials shut down State Road 60 because of limited visibility due to smoke from the fire mixed with fog in the area. The road has since fully reopened, officials said.

It's unclear what caused the blaze. The State Fire Marshal will investigate.
