Two banks burglarized in Sarasota County

- Sarasota County deputies said one person is in custody after two banks were burglarized early Saturday morning.

Deputies responded to alarms going off at a PNC Bank and a Bank of America on Fruitville Road around 5 a.m. 

At both banks, the glass door had been shattered. It's unclear if anything was taken.

Investigators said they arrested one person at the PNC Bank. They are working to determine if the burglaries are connected. 

The suspect has not been publicly identified.
