Two people die in wrong-way crash
VENICE (FOX 13) - A wrong-way crash in Venice led to the death of two people, officials say.
Sarasota County deputies responded to the crash in the 220 block of South Tamiami Trail around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The northbound lanes were blocked just north of State Road 776.
Deputies say two people died: The driver of the wrong way car and the female driver of the second vehicle. Her 3-year-old son survived the crash.
Their identities have not been released.
