Upscale dog park to open at Lakeland golf course

- It is probably the most unusual dog park around and it’s going to be in Lakeland.

The new Dog Leg Woods park is being built in the middle of Cleveland Heights Golf Course.

The three-acre park features jogging trails, a clubhouse, refreshments, and a bar -- and it's all dog-friendly.

There are also plans for a beer garden at the golf course where people and their pets can visit.

There will be separate areas for little and big dogs, a washing station, and a Frisbee area.

It is scheduled to open in the middle of March.
