The crash happened around 8 a.m. on U.S. 19 near Woodhill Drive in Tarpon Springs.

Officials say a pickup truck traveling southbound left the roadway and overturned, ending up on its side against an electrical pole.

One person was trapped and had to be extricated by firefighters. They were airlifted to a hospital in unknown condition.

Both directions of U.S. 19 were closed after the incident, but the road has reopened.
