Valrico man accused of having sex with two teen girls

- A 27-year-old Valrico man was charged for having a sexual relationship with two teenaged girls, deputies announced, and they are asking for anyone with information about him to come forward.

Timothy Tuttle was arrested Friday and charged with 38 different crimes after Hillsborough County detectives say they discovered the inappropriate contact with two 14-year-old girls. They say Tuttle was 25 years old at the time of the offenses, which occurred in 2016.

“I’d kill somebody if anybody was to touch my kids,” said Erica Custer, whosefiancé is best friends with Tuttle.

They all live together.  She says they had no clue about his alleged preying on underage kids.

“My fiancé didn't even know, he broke in tears because it’s such a shock to everybody,” Custer said.

Investigators say Tuttle met the girls through Facebook and used the Facebook Messenger app to share and receive nude photos.  They say he met with one victim at the Westfield Brandon Town Center Mall, and would meet the second victim either at his or her home to engage in sexual acts.

“We’re here today primarily because we want the public’s help if there are any more victims related to timothy Tuttle’s arrest,” said Danny Alvarez, spokesperson for HCSO.

Detectives learned of the alleged sexual acts in January through an unrelated investigation. They say he admitted to having the sexual contact with both girls throughout 2016. During the investigation, detectives say they found other photos sent to Tuttle, but have been able to identify or determine the ages of the females in them.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about Tuttle, who have had contact or know anyone who has had contact with him to contact the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office at (813) 247-8200. An anonymous tip can be sent to 1-800-873-8477 or at
