Video shows apartment burglary

- A home surveillance system caught clear pictures of a burglar in Polk County.  Deputies say the man seen in this video snuck into a woman's home on the Fourth of July and stole her gun and her laptop computer.

It happened at the Emerald Run apartments in Lakeland. Deputies say the woman was only out for 30 minutes and knew something wasn't right as soon as she got home.  She checked her surveillance footage and confirmed it.

Anyone who can identify the suspect is asked to call Heartland Crime Stoppers at 1-800-226-TIPS (8477). They say there is a cash reward for information.

“He's stealthy, but he won't get away with it! We know someone knows who he is,” the sheriff’s office wrote on Facebook.
