WATCH: Burglary suspect rummages through St. Pete home

- A homeowner's Canary security camera got a clear view of a suspected burglar rummaging through her living room.

St. Pete police say the man also threatened a woman in the home before he left.

It was unclear if the woman he threatened was the homeowner, but police hope having a clear picture of his face will allow someone in the public to help identify him.

It happened at a home on Paris Avenue South Wednesday night. Surveillance video shows him looking in boxes, venturing into the kitchen, and stacking some items in a corner.

He comes close to the camera several times, giving a clear view of his face. After he left, the woman he threatened called the police.

Anyone who thinks they recognize the suspect or has information on this incident is asked to call the St. Petersburg Police Department at 727-893-7780 or text SPPD and a tip to TIP-411 (847-411). Please refer to case #2017-029652.
