WATCH: Suspected porch pirate saunters up to Tampa home

- Police in Tampa are trying to track down a porch pirate who took his time swiping several packages from a Tampa Heights home.

A surveillance camera from the home along East Frances Avenue caught the crook in action.   He walks up to the porch, peeks in the windows, and starts collecting the goods in a cooler bag he found on the porch, too.

Police believe he may be responsible for another porch theft at a nearby house.

According to TPD, the man was last seen wearing a “distinctive dark shirt” with a pattern of light-colored squares and rectangles, dark shorts, white socks, dark shoes, and a thick chain necklace. Witnesses estimate him to be between 40 and 55 years of age.

Anyone who recognizes these suspects should call the Tampa Police Department at 813-231-6130. To be eligible for a cash reward, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477).
