PORT RICHEY, Fla. (FOX 13) - Another top city official has been arrested in Port Richey. This time, it’s the acting mayor.
Terrence Rowe took over the mayor's job after last month’s arrest of Mayor Dale Massad. Now, Rowe’s been charged with conspiracy to commit obstruction of justice.
"This is a big piece of the former case which is still active and on-going," said FDLE special Agent Mark Brutnell. "What I can say about this is if you're not a witness or a subject of any criminal investigation please don't inject or insert yourself into one."
Investigators with the FDLE say they received information Rowe was conspiring to interfere with an active criminal investigation, though they did not immediately specify what investigation.
"I think it doesn't look too good for Port Richey," said longtime resident Steve St. John.
Rowe was taken to the Pasco County Jail on a $15,000 bond.
