Woman allegedly tries to deposit fake check, leaves behind ID

- Pasco County deputies are searching for a woman who left behind her own identification after trying to cash a fraudulent check, they said.

Deputies are looking for Gretchen Andruszkiewicz. They said she entered the ACE Check Cashing located at 3345 U.S. Highway 19 in Holiday on Monday at 11:50 a.m. She attempted to deposit a $250 check into her prepaid debit account.

Detectives said the check was from an old account belonging to the victim, who said a check was never written to Andruszkiewicz and the victim does not know her.

The suspect left the store, but also left behind her driver’s license, forged check and debit card. Pasco County deputies asks anyone who has information on Andruszkiewicz’s whereabouts to call Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay at 1-800-706-2488.
