Woman gets into detective's car; offers sex, drugs

- A Lake Wales woman was arrested Friday for allegedly propositioning an officer to smoke illicit drugs and engage in sexual activity.

The Lake Wales Police Department says Detective Travis Worley was stopped at a light in his unmarked police vehicle near Central Avenue and First Street when 47-year-old Rebecca McLoon approached his vehicle.

She motioned for Worley to roll down the passenger side window and, which he did. That's when the detective says McLoon opened the door, got into his car, and asked Worley if he "wanted to smoke."

Detective Worley declined and asked McLoon to get out of his car, but instead, she asked Worley if he was a cop.

When he told her he was an officer, Detective Worley said McLoon laughed and then reached into her waistband, removed a glass pipe commonly used to smoke crack cocaine, and told Worley, “I know where we can get something to smoke.”

Police say Worley pulled into the rear parking lot of the Lake Wales Police Department and tried to take McLoon into custody, but she put up a fight, managing to throw the glass pipe. It was later recovered.

After being brought under control, officers say they asked McLoon if she intended to "trick," or engage in prostitution, to which she replied, yeah I wanted a trick but I sure didn’t get a treat.”

Rebecca McLoon was charged with trespassing in an occupied conveyance, resisting an officer without violence, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cocaine and tampering with evidence. She was booked into the Polk County Jail.

McCloon's arrest history includes cocaine possession, driving on a suspended license, grand theft, petit theft, retail theft, and violation of probation, dating back to 2010.
