Woman's body found in backyard of Tampa home

- A woman's body was found in the backyard of a home Thursday afternoon, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies arrived in the 7600 block of 32nd Avenue South in Tampa after receiving a 911 call from someone who discovered the body behind the property.

Officials said they are working the case as a homicide.

The woman's identity has not been released, but according to investigators, she was in her 20s or 30s.

No suspects have been identified and officials said they do not know if this was a random or targeted attack.

According to Col. James Bradford, the body was discovered in the back of a rental property that has been vacant for three weeks.

Deputies are talking to neighbors and urge anyone who may have seen or heard something to please contact the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
