World champion video gamer calls Pasco Co. home

- Du Dang, or Nuckledu as he's known online, has solidified himself as the best Street Fighter V video game player on the planet.

The 20-year-old from Pasco County has become the first American to win a Capcom Cup since it began in 2013. Think of it as the Super Bowl for the world's top Street Fighter V players.

"When I finally won it was a relief all the stress was gone there's so much stress leading up to the tournament," Dang said.

Dang is considered a professional gamer. The Capcom Cup earned him a cool $230,000.

"People see video player, they think there's no training involved, but we put so much hours into training," he said.

Ironically, he fell into Street Fighter by accident.

"My uncle got me into it. I never liked the concept of fighting games; up, down, left, right. I thought it was dumb, but he forced me to play," he said.

Now years later, he's signing autographs as a top name in the world of e-sports.

"I won the world finals. I'm not going to say it, but people are saying I'm the best. That's flattering," he said.
