Hundreds of people gathered in the streets of Ybor City to pay their respects to the victims of the  Orlando Pulse shooting.

"I'm cried out I can't cry anymore," said Mike Mangus.

Mangus lives in Tampa and performs in drag.  He holds the title of the reigning Miss. Pulse Orlando.  He was in Ybor City on the fateful night.

"When I heard my family was going through all that, I didn't know what to think," he said.  "My friends had to escape through an AC unit in a dressing room," he added.

Several of the 49 victims are from the Tampa Bay area.  Including Christopher Sanfeliz.  His death was officially announced Monday.

"Chris was a vibrant, loving, caring young individual.  Whenever he hung out with the group, he'd always make everyone laugh," said Chhoy Sutimek, a close friend.

Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn said the shooting ripped the heart out of Florida.  Monday's vigil was the start of healing that gaping wound.

"This is important for them to know we have their backs we stand in solidarity with them and with the family's and we're not going anywhere," Mayor Buckhorn said.
