Thousands of pirates invaded downtown Tampa for the annual Gasparilla parade on Saturday.

The ship was packed with pirates as it made its way through Seddon Channel and docked at the Tampa Convention Center. The pirate ship was surrounded by hundreds of recreational boats.

FOX 13's Crystal Clark spent Saturday morning alongside the Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla pirates at the Tampa Yacht Club as they got their outfits and makeup ready for the big day.

The Gasparilla parade started at 2 p.m. and ended around 5:30. Tampa police said there were no major issues or incidents.
