Ohio officer chases down runaway cruiser

An Ohio officer who was talking to a driver during a traffic stop found himself sprinting after his cruiser that began to roll away.

The Miami County deputy pulled a driver over in Troy, Ohio. He was speaking to the driver when the dashcam shows the officer and the driver getting further and further away.

The deputy finally notices and tells the driver to wait while he makes a mad dash to catch up to the runaway cruiser.

It rolled backwards into the street and nearly into oncoming traffic, before the deputy was able to jump back into the cruiser.

He stopped it before it hit anyone or anything. "I bet that don't happen every day," said the driver as the officer walked back. "Never happened before!" the officer said.
