Person found camping on roof of California train station
ANTIOCH, Calif. (FOX 13) - Police in California discovered someone was camping on top of an Amtrak station.
A concerned citizen in Antioch reported a transient was lowering a bike off the top of the station, police say.
Antioch police posted photos on the agency’s Facebook page on March 8 showing the “unsafe camp,” which included a tent, and a ladder for accessibility.
The agency wrote in its post, “Due to safety concerns, the camp had to be immediately abated. Homelessness is not a crime and we try to get our homeless citizens into services so they can have a stable environment.”
