‘Person of interest' in Rowlett mom's murder captured in Florida

A ‘person of interest’ in the murder of a Rowlett mother was captured in Clearwater, Florida by U.S. Marshals on Friday

Dallas police issued an arrest warrant for Jesus Emmanuel Trevino for failing to register as a sex offender. He allegedly gave false and misleading information about his whereabouts on the day of the murder of Laura Grillo, who was found shot to death inside her home in the 8200 block of Americas Cup in November, just a week before her wedding. Detectives found no evidence of forced entry, so they believe the 37-year-old was targeted.

Police said Trevino was deported to Mexico in 2010 after being convicted of the sexual assault of a child in Tarrant County in 2008. He was back in the United States and working for Grillo’s fiancé at the time of her murder.

Two other people are also being investigated in connection with the murder, but police are not naming anyone besides Trevino.

Police ask anyone with information on the murder to call Rowlett Police Department at 972-412-6200. Dallas County Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000.00 reward for information that leads to an indictment of the persons involved in the murder of Linda Grillo.
