Pickup truck narrowly misses couple, plows into donut shop

AUBURN, Wash. - Surveillance cameras caught a couple’s close call after they stopped at a donut shop, but found themselves running for cover.

The dramatic scene unfolded in Auburn, Washington Friday morning. The video shows two people emerge from a car to walk into the shop, called Donut Star.

A white pickup truck suddenly appears, careening out of control toward the store and crashing into a concrete barrier right out front.

The male customer appears to dive toward the counter for safety. The woman, who was still outside, was not hurt.

Police say the driver was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving.

Fortunately, the donut shop installed concrete barriers around the building as a precaution because of similar crashes there.
