Pursuit of stolen U-Haul ends with standoff (and a kiss) before arrest

- A police pursuit of a stolen U-Haul truck began around 10:45 A.M. on Wednesday in Bell Gardens and came to a halt in Montebello around noon with the suspects still inside the truck before finally surrendering around 12:30 P.M.

Bell Gardens police and CHP pursued the suspects for about an hour.

At one point the truck's right front tire blew out, but the driver continued driving on the rim.

The suspect eventually stopped, and after a standoff, both suspects at last surrendered and were taken into custody.
