Power goes out at Pence rally in Clearwater

- It was a rally fit for Halloween: About 10 minutes into his speech at the St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport, power to the stage lights and microphone went out, leaving Republican Vice Presidential Nominee Mike Pence in the dark.

He grabbed a megaphone and continued to speak.

About 10 minutes later, power to his microphone was restored, but he finished the speech with only a small spotlight shining on his face.

"No power? No problem," Pence tweeted. "This movement's incredible energy and a bullhorn were enough to power the night!"

Pence's work may only be secondary to volunteers who blanketed the rally with forms to request ballots by mail. Absentee and early votes are nearly even from both Democrats and Republicans in Florida, a state Donald Trump must win to have a chance.

"Every vote will definitely matter," said volunteer Marie King. "It's going to come down to the final count, we hope it comes down on our side."

The Clinton team is at it too. Hillary Clinton held a rally in Ohio, trying to motivate her supporters after the FBI said it was again looking at emails sent by an aide.

"Why in the World would the FBI decide to jump into an election with no evidence of any wrongdoing with just days to go?" she asked.

Clinton reiterated an apology she first made months ago.

"I am not making excuses, I have said it was a mistake and I regret it."

Trump is hoping to make a play for Michigan, a state that has looked solid for Clinton in polls.

He is hoping the email saga will help him break through.

"I have to give the FBI credit, that was so bad, what happened originally. It took guts for director Comey to make the move that he made," Trump said.

A firefighter on scene told FOX 13 the power outage was likely caused by a blown fuse.
