Dog reunited with owners after 7 years

- A family pet missing for 7 years is back home, and it is all thanks to a microchip. The miniature schnauzer was found by a Laveen canal Monday evening.

Missy the dog went missing 7 years ago, and the family moved to San Tan Valley.

Several dogs were seen near a canal in Laveen and a rescue group found Missy who was covered in ticks and dirty. She's been cleaned up and cared for and because she was microchipped she's now back home.

FOX 10's Marc Martinez reports.
