U.S. couple dies when swept away by wave in Cabo San Lucas

- Two senior citizens vacationing in Cabo San Lucas died after being swept by a large wave as they were walking along the beach.

The woman was pulled from the water by a Navy boat, but died upon arrival at the Navy pier. The man was recovered from the water, but he had already died.

They have been identified by the U.S. Embassy in Mexico as Nancy and Richard Culpepper.

It’s not the first time tourists get swept away and the community is calling for tighter safety measures.
