Georgia store clerk turns the tables on would-be robber

- An armed robber tried to hold up a clerk in Burke County, Georgia but she wasn't having any of it.

Deputies responded to the Keysville Convenience Store Tuesday morning around 11 after an armed man tried to hold up the clerk, according to WFXG.

The man, seen on video in a light colored hooded sweatshirt, appears to be purchasing a can of soda before he pulls out a gun and demands money.

But the clerk quickly turned the tables on him, swatting the gun away and fighting back.

She began hitting the suspect with part of the cash drawer and then she pulled out a hammer and started to chase him.

The suspect fled and deputies are still looking for him.

If you have any information on who the suspect is or where he is located, you are urged to call the Burke County Sheriff's Office at 706-554-2133.
