VIDEO: California hikers rescued from mountainside

A dramatic rescue was caught on video after three hikers were stranded on a cliff in California.

The video shot by the California Highway Patrol shows the hikers on Desolation Wilderness with what looks like no way to get down. They spent the night on the cliff's ledge without proper clothing or supplies.

At one point, the camera zooms in on the hikers and then zooms out to show the vast area where they are stranded.

The chopper responded to the area and rescued all three, hoisting each of them to safety, one by one.

No one was injured.
