UF student with Crohn's disease searching for service dog

- 22-year-old University of Florida student Ty Redler suffers from a severe case of Crohn's disease and Achalasia. Redler has a trained and certified support medical alert dog named Rusty who is now missing.

On the morning of the 4th of July, Ty and Rusty were at San Felasco State Park in Gainesville when Rusty suddenly saw something and took off. Ty gave chase, but is very weak and lost Rusty within a few minutes.

The dog is trained to assist Ty when he gets weak and his body starts to falter. Rusty also provides emotional support as Ty is desperate to get his dog back.

If you would like to help or have any information please contact Ty at (954) 240-0868 or (954) 346-8989.
