Annie McClinton has a story to tell, 104 years in the making.

McClinton still has a lot of pep, for her age. She's the story-teller at Magnolia Manor Assisted Living in Lutz.

Her friends sang her Happy Birthday on a very special day.

"I've always been friendly and everybody has been friendly to me," McClinton said.

She was born in Brooksville in 1913 and grew up in Tampa. She graduated from Florida A&M and became a teacher.

"I can always remember that the seventh and eighth grades were always the worst classes," she remembers.

McClinton got married to Air Force Officer Robert McClinton in 1950. They met when her sorority sister invited her and four other sorority sisters to a party to meet soldiers.

They went to dinner afterward.

"We paired off that night and everybody ended up getting married," she smiled.

A big part of the McClintons' lives together was their shared passion for traveling the world. Robert died in 2000.

"I travel. I've been to Japan. I have been to Guam, France, Italy," she recalls

She has lived a well-traveled and satisfied life.

"Life has been wonderful. I've had a grand life. I've lived a beautiful life. I have no complaints whatsoever," she said.
