Discover downtown Tampa by bike

It’s Florida Bike Month, so the Tampa Downtown Partnership came up with a great way to get familiar with downtown by bike.

It’s Tampa’s downtown Bike to Work Ride and Rally.

It’s happening from 7-9 a.m. Friday and is free for anyone who wants to ride.

The idea is simple. Meet at one of eight locations for a guided ride with an experienced cyclist.

They all end at Lykes Gaslight Square on Madison Street, where there will be food, music, and more.

Organizers hope it will encourage people to take advantage of Tampa’s bike paths and help the environment by promoting fewer trips in the car.
