Redskins' Thanksgiving tweet doesn't sit well with the Twitterverse

- Washington's football team shared a holiday greeting on Twitter Thursday morning, but the result probably wasn't what they were hoping. The team's official account tweeted a "Happy Thanksgiving" wish along with the team's controversial logo, and many who replied to the tweet weren't happy about it.

The uncomfortable tweet went out just after 9 a.m., and included the team's logo and, "Wishing you and your family a Happy #Thanksgiving."

Immediately, the backlash was evident in the replies.

A similar tweet was sent by the team's account last year, and it was also the source of much frustration on Twitter for many who see the team's nickname as a derogatory term for native Americans.
