Accident involving deputy backs up Ulmerton Wednesday

TAMPA (FOX 13) - The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said an accident involving a deputy and multiple other vehicles was causing major traffic delays near 8080 Ulmerton Road Wednesday evening.

The accident happened around 3:50 p.m.. Westbound Ulmerton Road was down to one travel lane.

The sheriff's office said initial reports indicated five or six vehicles were involved. There were injuries reported, but none life-threatening.
