VIDEO: Close call for Colorado state trooper

It was a very close call for a Colorado State Patrol trooper who narrowly avoided being hit by a passing vehicle while responding to a crash on the side of the road.

The roads appear to be wet and slippery as the trooper walks into the road before spotting the SUV approaching. Dashcam video shows him jumping out of the way as the SUV swerves to avoid him and keeps going, fishtailing as it drives away.

"One of our troopers was very lucky things did not get worse because someone forgot to SLOW DOWN and MOVE OVER," the Colorado State Patrol said on its Facebook page.

The driver wasn't found, but troopers want to remind everyone that lives can change or be lost in an instant.
