Facebook page helps owners find lost pets during SC flooding

- A South Carolina lost pets Facebook page is helping owners reunite with their furry loved ones during the hazardous flooding conditions.

The page Lost & Found Pets of South Carolina provides a place for owners to report lost animals and help those who find strays connect with the owners.

One owner posted photos of his beloved lost cat mentioning the disastrously flooded streets asking others to be on the look out for him.

Another post of a soaking wet black dog was posted Sunday in search of his owner.

Florence Area Humane Society posted to Facebook that their dogs were safe and dry after being affected by standing water in their play-yard.

SQ Rescue in Columbia, SC had a lot of damage from the flooding. They posted to Facebook requesting help for rebuilding and taking care of some of their rescue dogs.

These pictures don't really tell the whole story of the devastation at the kennel that used to house some of our dogs....
