Two bears checked out a police officer's patrol car after escaping from a South Dakota wildlife park Tuesday.

The Pennington County Sheriff's Office shared photos of the two young black bears making friends with local law enforcement.

Deputy Kylie Kintigh got the call about two bears on the loose from the Bear Country Wildlife Park.

The deputy says she spotted the bears wandering near the highway, checking out some nearby mailboxes - as well as her patrol car.

Deputy Kntigh kept a close eye on the bears Until staff from Bear Country arrived.

They attempted to lure the bears with donuts, but no such luck.

They were able to peacefully sedate the bears and bring them back to the wildlife park.
