Couple reels in record fish using chicken McNugget

- Sometimes it doesn't take much to catch a record-sized fish, and in this case it just took a single McDonald's Chicken McNugget.

The photo of the couple's record largemouth bass was posted on the Highview Marina in Ennis, Texas Facebook page.

Matthew McNellis tells KDAF his girlfriend suggested using the chicken McNugget as bait when they went fishing at Lake Bardwell earlier this month.

That seemed to do the trick because McNellis reeled in a big bass, weighing in at just under 11 pounds and about 24 1/2 inches long, which, according to Highview Marina, broke a record there.

The fish was tossed back into the lake after it was weighed and pictures were taken with the lucky catch.
