Duck gets 3D printed feet after frostbite

OSH KOSH, WI (WBAY) - Phillip the duck is proudly strutting around Wisconsin, now, with new 3D feet!

Phillip lost his feet to frostbite and a teacher at South Park Middle School in Osh Kosh wanted to lend a helping hand.

Vicki Rabe-Harrison said she was able to create plastic feet for Phillip using a 3D printer.

Students were able to watch as Phillip was fitted with the new 3D feet, and quickly learned how to walk in them.

"He picked it up real fast, and I'm sure he'll learn to balance again and be able to waddle around with all the other ducks," Rabe-Harrison explained.

She hopes Phillip will continue with his progress, and should be swimming soon!
