Carnival Cruise Line is debuting the first-ever at-sea roller coaster.

The "Bolt" is 800 feet of twists, turns, and drops aboard Carnival's newest ship, the "Mardi Gras."

The all-electric roller coaster will allow two riders in a motorcycle-like vehicle to race along the track at 187 feet above sea level while taking in the 360-degree views above the ship deck.

The riders' speeds will be posted after the race and guests can choose their own speeds, which can reach up to nearly 40 miles per hour.

"Bolt begins with an action-packed launch where riders can achieve race car-like levels of acceleration and culminates with a high-powered hair-pin turn around Carnival’s iconic funnel," the cruise line said.

The Mardi Gras ship will be based in Port Canaveral and both the ship and its roller coaster will debut in 2020.
