Kansas City Zoo welcomes baby giraffe

- The Kansas City Zoo welcomed its newest arrival Thursday.

The female giraffe was born to mom, Lizzie on February 2 around 4:57 a.m.

She weighed more than 100 pounds and stood about five feet tall at birth.

A name for the baby hasn’t been chosen, yet.

The zoo set up a camera so giraffe fans across the world can tune in and see what's new in the stalls.

Zookeepers say the weather will have to get warmer in order for her to make her public debut.
